A Delivery And Shabbily So Far

We had a delivery at Shabbily last week and it arrived tied with a pretty pink bow......

It was my order that had arrived from Jilly Bean Bakery......

Inside were the most beautiful rose topped shabby chic macaroons.......here is a link to JillyBean's shop on etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/gillianokelley........Gillian is really lovely and helpful and i am over the moon with my order........

It was time to start our beloved Shabbily and ooooh i just had to give her a sea view and whitewash her walls inside.....
The pretty pink candles below were also from JillyBean.....the new bay windows Steve fixed for me gives a nice little step that i displayed my wicker stool with pale pink roses in a galvanized bucket on.......i have blinds and curtains to make for here.....

Anyone for a macaroon? i made the tiny pink and gold box and antiqued the picture frame......

The sofa cushion is yet to be glued in place but i so wanted to post so far so excuse the bits and bobs that need sticking,i antiqued the sofa and then covered it in a vintage french linen,the mannequin was very square so i cut her a new waist and antiqued her too,the little chairs linen seat and back are still drying......

The kitchen table in soft cream waiting to be aged,the chairs painted sea blue and gently white washed over,pretty rosebud fabric on the cushions which also need sticking....i added a tiny rose picture to a corked storage jar and white washed a tiny basket filled with fresh strawberries........

I have lots to make for Shabbily and i have ordered a kitchen sink and a dresser too that will be getting a make over.......

Most things i have bought from Ebay and made over myself.....the sofa and chair were from a charity shop and originally mahogany with a floral pattern....Shabbily has no fancy flooring or skirting boards as funds are low....she is simply white washed and will be furnished with love.

Stay a while if you wish,listen to the waves crashing on the shore and enjoy a macaroon or a strawberry.....relax and make yourselves at home! x

The Place In Time....

The house is simply called 'Shabbily'.....she was run down and was for sale as she was no longer needed or loved by the little girl who had once owned her,she had grown up and moved to a real house......The girls Mother sadly put the house up for sale.......

Pom Pom and i decided to buy 'Shabbily' as a place in time of our very own and we promised to love her always.....

A wall downstairs was removed to make one large room and two bay windows were added on either side to let the sun light flood in.....the walls and floors were stripped and the old rotten staircase was taken down.....

Shabbily will be a Summer place close to the sea with white washed floors and lace at the windows blowing in the Summer breeze.............

So much work to be done my dear sweet little Pom Pom........
